R&DSmallTalk is an AI-based tool for assessing and improving spoken English. We enable companies to assess their candidate's and employee's language proficiency and help non-native English speakers enhance their communication ability.

Our ambitious goal is to be #1 Tool for professionals who want to improve their spoken English. To achieve and drive the goal, we're looking for a Software Engineer to join our R&D team.
We are looking to add a smart, driven and growth-minded Software Engineer to our amazing team. As the software engineer, you will lead software development and deployment activities to build and improve the cutting-edge AI platform. In addition, you will work closely with the rest of the tech team, as well as product to define and implement customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
- System architecture design and improvement
- Implement and test backend, analytics engine, database and integrations
- Cloud deployment and performance optimization
- Guide frontend developers to create frontend, visualisations and dashboard
- Lead and implement engineering best practices, including*:
- Establishing, implementing and tracking the development and product KPIs
- Performing code reviews and learning sessions
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- 5+ years' experience architecting, developing, testing and deploying high performing enterprise software applications
- Demonstrated track record leading teams and projects under tight deadlines
- High proficiency with Golang and at least one more programming language such as Rust, Java or Python.
- Experience deploying on Google Cloud using Terraform, Kubernetes etc.
- Experience with cloud cybersecurity
- Track record using SQL and RDBMs (ideally Postgres), NoSQL experience is a plus
Location
This is a full-time remote role. Work schedule is flexible as you'll work with a team in many different time zones (Mainly Central Europe and PST time zones).
